Students succeed when they are with other children that are similar ages and ability levels. We are very careful about placing your child in an environment where they will thrive. Each level builds upon and reinforces skills learned in previous lessons.
Parent Baby: This class is for babies 6 months to 2 1/2 or 3 years old. It is a step-by-step class using positive and gentle methods such as modeling and conditioned response. The goal of the class is to teach babies how to swim without ever dunking or forcing.
Sea Turtle: Beginning swimmers. Introduces children to a friendly and positive swimming environment. The goal is to cultivate comfort and confidence in the water while building good foundations. Skills learned are front glides and back floats. Students are introduced to arm strokes and elementary backstroke.
Sea Horse: Students are comfortable in the water and can do an unassited front float. They are working on perfecting their arm-strokes to prepare them for side-breathing. Students learn to do elementary backstroke independently.
Seal: Students begin to coordinate side-breathing with their arm strokes enabling them to swim longer distances. Students learn backstroke arms.
Swordfish: Students begin to coordinate flutter kick into both freestyle and backstroke. Students perfect side-breathing and backstroke. Students begin lap swimming, breast stroke and flip turns.
Shark: Students learn Butterfly, perfect Freestyle, Backstroke and Breaststroke. Students learn to swim at least 100 yds of each stroke with proper technique and flip turns.
Dolphins Pre-Competitive Swim Team: Focuses on technique and endurance. Kids generally swim between 900 and 1800 yds in a 45 minute workout. This is an excellent way to prepare your child for competitive swim teams or a great alternative if you would like the swim team atmosphere without the competition.
Adults: Whether you have little experience in the water or are just looking to refine your technique this is the class is for you. This class focuses on proper technique and breathing to help you learn to swim a mile. Don't put off learning to swim any longer!
